2007 Cuba Street Carnival presented by GOWellington

New Zealand's largest street fiesta! For two days the 2007 Cuba Street Carnival, presented by GOWellington, transforms inner city Wellington into a kaleidoscope of colour and entertainment - with live music, dance, street markets, outdoor cinema, roving entertainers, kid's events, international street performers, and the Carnival's famous highlight - the Illuminated Night Parade.

In 2007 the Carnival kicks off at midday Friday with market stalls, international street performers and an evening outdoor film screening.

On Saturday a diverse range of music will be performed from an unprecendented ten live stages situated throughout Cuba Street and Courtenay Place, making this the largest ever free music festival. Special entertainment for children can be found in the Capital E Kid's zone, and the streets will be teeming with entertainers, along with unique market stalls and food from all over the world.

As night falls the award-winning Illuminated Night Parade creates a truly wondrous spectacle as it winds its way from Courtenay Place to the top of Cuba Street - bursting with floats, music, dancers, performers, strange sights and impromtu events.
