Huge festival to raise funds for injured NZ native birds and abused animals.

Live music all day, large outdoor markets, art exhibit, kids programme, petting zoo, pony rides, food and drink, arts & crafts, horse demonstrations, silent auction, lots of fun!! Special kids corner with storytelling, puppets, beading, rock wall climb, mini-jeeps, volcano experience, etc. Wide range of music playing live on stage throughout the day.

Children's Costume Parade at 12:30. Kids, come dressed as your favourite bird or animal! Prizes for the funniest, most realistic, most creative, and most beautiful costume, as well as the best mask in each age group.

Celebrity Guest actress Nicola Kawana (previously played Huia on Shortland Street) will attend.

Directions: drive north to Warkworth on state hwy 1. At second set of lights in Warkworth turn right, and follow sign toward Matakana and Leigh. At Matakana Village go straight through the roundabout, up hill and down other side. Just past turnoff to Omaha you will see Matakana Country Park and the festival.
