Devonport Food and Wine Festival

The Devonport Food and Wine Festival is an iconic New Zealand event. It was established by the Devonport Rotary through their passion to support, involve and work within the local community. Thousands of Auckland residents, New Zealanders and visitors to the region have enjoyed the Festival over the past 16 years. The Festival has grown in its professionalism and direction. The introduction of controlled entry to the Festival in 2001 increased the quality of the event providing the foundations for continued growth and development.

The Devonport Food and Wine Festival was the first of its kind in New Zealand. All the money raised from the event is donated to local, regional and national charity organisations, schools and institutions. The community of Devonport is an important consideration in the continued development of the Festival. The Devonport Rotary has donated over $1.5million as a result of the Festival’s continued success since 1990.

It is the Devonport Rotary’s constant aim to create a national reach that will encourage more people from around NZ to make a weekend of the Festival and visit other areas of Auckland in the process. The Devonport Food and Wine Festival will continue to feature in the third weekend of February every year.
