In their first year in the Auckland Baseball U14 Division, the West City U14 baseball team has got off to the best possible start with a huge win over the Howick River Rats.

This weekend sees round 2 of the U14 competition, in an unusual situation for the West City side in their first home game on their home field of McLeod Park in Te Atatu - as the away team.

This Saturday, the West City U14 side takes on the Bayside Westhaven U14 Red Sox in what is set to be a cracker of a game to start the weekend's baseball action.

Both teams have some major talent, with some big hitters and power pitchers, this is building to be one a great game of baseball.

Some come on out west, bring a picnic, and enjoy a morning of baseball at McLeod Park.
