The New Zealand Herald Christmas Carnival, Boxing Day

The thrill and excitement of The New Zealand Herald Christmas Carnival is a long-standing highlight of the Auckland social calendar!

From the premier location of Cuvee to the party atmosphere of the Viva Champagne Lawn, Boxing Day has the best horses, prestigious races and the ultimate in fashion and glamour!

This year Ellerslie is celebrating 20 years of Fashions in the Field - A fashion institution, Deutz Fashions in the Field gives you the perfect excuse to primp, preen and sashay down the runway!

As always, there will be a number of different categories and therefore plenty of chances to win! And with a total prize pool totalling around $65,000, you'd be foolish not to enter!

Suit Yourself Men's Racewear
Under 25 (entrants must be over 18 and 24 or under on 26th Dec 07)
Graeme Thomson Ascot Lady (open to entrants 45 or over)
Cyber-shot Avant-garde (think outrageous!)
Blue Lagoon Cruise Fiji Millinery

To enter, report to the Registration Marquee behind the catwalk by 12.15pm on Boxing Day (the catwalk is located inside the main public entrance). Entry into the competition is free (there is a $20 course entry charge).

Deutz Fashion Village
Be a part of the glamour and sophistication of Boxing Day and relax in the Deutz Fashion Village where the spectacle of the Deutz Fashions in the Field unfolds - the most fashionable place to be on-course!

$40.00 pp includes:
Piccolo of Deutz Methode Traditionelle on arrival
Access to reserved seating area
Access to cash bar facilities
Cafe style food available for purchase
Racecourse admission
Please note this is an R18 area, anyone under age must be accompanied by a guardian.

The Classic Hits Infield $20.00 pp (Children under 15 free)

The Classic Hits Infield will feature on Boxing Day & New Year's Day this New Zealand Herald Christmas Carnival. Park the car and enjoy a picnic with family and friends. Totes, toilet facilites and children's entertainment will be provided.
