The Classic is proud to welcome back New Zealand’s latest international comedy star, Rhys Darby for his only gig at New Zealand’s home of live comedy in 2007.
After five years on the UK comedy circuit headlining prestigious clubs such as the Comedy Store and Jongleurs, Rhys made the move to New York in 2006 to join his friends Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie for the recording of the HBO series, ‘Flight of the Conchords’.
Rhys has since achieved cult status as Murray, the bands lovable and inept manager. Subsequently he was noticed by Hollywood and has spent the past two months in Los Angeles working on the film "Yes Man" with Jim Carrey.
Rhys returns to New Zealand will be performing a 2hr show that he will be recording in L.A. in January for DVD release.
