2007's return of My Chemical Romance promises to be one of the biggest arena spectaculars for the year. Drowned In Sound could barely contain their excitement over a recent performance, gushing: "By the fourth song, we've already been hit with flame throwers, industrial-sized sparklers, a revolving drumkit, a rainstorm of black and white confetti and a light show that would make even the most stable of us slightly epileptic."

MCR have a history of selling out shows, and the trend will only continue on their most spectacular tour to date. Don't miss your chance to see one of rock's finest bands this year! Tickets are on sale Friday 20 July.

Whether you're an emo, a rocker, a punk or just someone who enjoys good music - My Chemical Romance is for you. Having seen them on their last trip to New Zealand at the 2007 BDO I can say from experience they are a band to be viewed at full volume! Their live act is phenomonal with all the hits (particularly from The Black Parade) being belted out with passion and talent. They will leave you singing their anthems for days.

My chemical romance is my favourite band EVER. remember the days when you could idolise a band and have all their albums, wear a tshirt with their name on it, and mosh wherever whenever you heard one of their songs on the radio? But so much has changed since then and now you get judged for the music that you listen to. Well Im proud to listen to My Chemical Romance and they are probably the greatest band to ever make their way to New Zealand! I dont care if I listen to their music and get called an "emo" but this band is the best and their music has changed my life and my outlook on life. I love this band so much that I praise every bass line Mikey plays, every beat that bob hits, every note that ray strums, every rhythm that frank plays and every word that gerard sings. This concert is going to be the greatest, where all their fans can come together to worship the band that they love. I really really REALLY WISH I COULD GO!! Have an awesum time at the concert to all who are going and remember "I am not afraid to keep on living,
I am not afraid to walk this world alone
Honey if you stay I'll be forgiven,
Nothing you can say can stop me going home." I LOVE YOU MY CHEM!!

I am coming back from the US in time to see these cool (rather good looking) rockers. it is going to be just magic. Go crazy in that mosh pit, jump to your hearts content. Their tunes are so much fun to scream along to! I have my own dreamed up set list but would love to hear To the End. Great wee track that is!

peace out! Next week is just around the corner! Thursday evening will be loads of fun!

I'll bet ya that MCR will hit Auckland hard... This will be a wicked show. Too bad it's in such a huge venue as they are much better in a smaller one.

Saw them at the Warped Tour (USA) in their early days and it was okay but really loved their shows in Germany and The Netherlands (just a couple of 100 people were there). Can't wait to see how they perform here in NZ.

Kalisha, the competition closes on Sunday, and the winners will be notified on Monday.

We'll arrange with the winners to meet at the venue on Thursday and hand over the tickets then. Good luck!

jenskies, your use of exclamation marks goes above and beyond the call of duty. A true fan indeed.

As you know the more exclamation marks you use, the more important your message becomes.

However, we were disappointed you obviously have a firm grasp of the English language. This is clearly demonstrated with your correct spelling of words using more than one syllable.

Although your chances of winning these tickets may be, how shall we say this politely, slim at best, I would like to know what gigs next year you *really* like tickets to.

Txt language only - let's see what you've got ;)

Expect to be greeted by screams; that’s the message for My Chemical Romance when they come on stage at the Vector Arena on the 6th December 2007 !!! With its mix of gothic punk and enraged pop, we are in for a great treat from MCR.

On their latest album Welcome to the Black Parade MCR stroll away a bit from their signature style of music which was laced with elements of back breaking guitars, brit-pop goth and punk/emo leanings. The new music breathes life anew with it's glam-rock subversive edge and cabaret theatrics.

Gerard Way’s stage theatrics are quite entertaining as he poetically preens and poses during the delicious guitar solos. So, expect still louder screams from the teenagers in the audience ! Guitarist Frank Lero is usually the stuntman. We hope to see his gravity defying ability to do a somersault while playing, and would be one of the greatest tricks we will see a musician pull off.

Emo, Rock, Pop, Punk; whatever you call them, My Chemical Romance are undeniably one of the most exciting bands of 2007. Auckland's Vector Arena will play host to their electric stage show on December 6 - bearing witness to live renditions of everyones' favourites from The Black Parade and hopefully a few old favourites from their previous albums I Brought You My Bullets and Three Cheers. This is undoubtedly going to be the kind of concert where the crowd knows every word - any naysayers against the emo movement should come along just to see these misunderstood members of the youth community unite in their love for one hell of a rocking band! Bring on My Chem!

OH MY GOSH! I cant believe I am getting the once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal with my favourite rock band! I am a girl who knows how to dance and rock like never before, I am the fan who will do anything to get eye contact and then pass out from excitement! Cant wait to see if I get the chance to see MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE live!!
