Four Awards presented in 2007 will include, Professional Country Music Artist of the Year, Top Selling Country Music Event/Tour, Country Music Legend Award, Best Country Music Album of the Year.
Four new faces are backed by established acts in a memorable concert at the Founders Theatre. New artists include, Leanne Cryer, Kylie Austin, Luke Herilihy, and Aaron Jury who join well-known performers Chet O'Connell and Paul Sharplin (current new horizon award winner).
Joining them are three legends of country music; Gray Bartlett, New Zealand's most famous guitar legend. His career has spanned over 35 years selling a million albums who has toured to China, USA, the UK and Australia. Barry Saunders of the Warratahs who has recently released the acclaimed album Red Morning. Also the very successful Dennis Marsh who has 17 albums with 7 Gold and 2 Platinum albums to his credit.
A highlight of the awards is "Beautiful Lady" Patsy Riggir, augurably New Zealand's greatest country music entertainer who has won just about every honour there is to be had including taking out the prestigious Best Female Vocalist title at the Australasian Country Music Awards in Tamworth on three occasions.
