As well as this, Marian plays an array of Celtic music and appeared on stage with The Chieftains at the Aotea Centre, in Auckland, in 2005. She has also been awarded a NZ Variety Club Scroll of Honour for her dedication to the music profession and for the work she does introducing children to the wonderful world of music.
Don't miss Marian Burns in action - her dynamic and unrestricted style mesmerizes and captivates audiences everywhere!!!
For this tour she will be joined by Ben McDonald on piano. He is a honky tonk piano player, variety entertainer and music promoter. He has won the Instrumental Section of the NZ Gold Guitar Awards for the past two years and was also the overall runner-up in 2005. Based in Christchurch he owns and manages The Red Rose Dinner Theatre, Christchurch's professional Theatre Restaurant at The Arts Centre. He will entertain with a variety of music including his rendition of "The Black and White Rag", made famous by Winifred Atwell.
Peter Cairns completes the line-up. Peter is a Southland musician who was the Overall Winner of The New Zealand Gold Guitar Awards in 1984. His album, "About Time" features many of his own original tracks as well as covers of well known songs. Peter tours throughout the year and has appeared on The Spring Fever Road Show over the past 2 years.
Don't miss this fantastic show as this great group of musicians rolls into your town this April!
