With a career spanning more than 25 extraordinary years, more than 35 million records sold, countless awards from their peers and fans, platinum certifications, and a reputation as an incredible live act, INXS are one of the world's great bands.

Now with new lead singer J.D Fortune, INXS are back on the world stage with their "Switched On" tour, set to hit New Zealand in September. Andrew McManus Presents today proudly announces INXS concerts in Christchurch on September 21 and in Auckland on September 23.

With the success of the Rockstar:INXS television series, the smash hit single 'Pretty Vegas' and the 'SWITCH' album which is approaching triple platinum, this tour will be RED HOT! Plus it will be the band’s first concert tour of NZ since 1988 – way too long!

With new front man J.D Fortune, INXS have been revitalized. Throughout the 80s and into the 90s INXS were a consummate global rock band with a musical distillation of strength, sensitivity and intelligence. Determined, dedicated and sure-footed, the band propelled themselves onto the international scene and with a stream of hits like ‘Need You Tonight’, ‘New Sensation’, ‘What You Need’, ‘Original Sin’, ‘Suicide Blonde’ and ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ to name a few.

Last year’s Rockstar:INXS TV series brought Canadian J.D Fortune to the band and to say he has been embraced by both critics and fans would most definitely be an understatement. The first leg of the “Switched On” tour in the US sold out in days and received overwhelming reviews:

"A joyous, reborn INXS rocked." (Toronto Sun)

"J.D is good, really good. And the crowd loves him." (Los Angeles Times)

"INXS looks and sounds invigorated." (Hollywood Reporter)

"J.D Fortune proved himself a worthy heir to the throne last night." (Boston Globe)

"If there was ever any question as to whether new INXS lead singer J.D. Fortune could be credible performing a whole set, he wiped out all doubt." (The Seattle Times)

"It was a jubilant return for the surviving quintet of members. Their joy at playing with a sexy and talented young singer was palpable and contagious." (Boston Herald)
