Something for Everyone at the Designer Garage Sale at ANZFW 4U

There will be something for everyone at the fashion Designer Garage Sale to be held as part of ANZFW4U; the public Saturday of Air New Zealand Fashion Week.

Designer Garage Sale organiser, Paul Blomfield, today announced an interesting and eclectic list of participating designers that covers the spectrum, from streetwear to high fashion; from young to less young.

Fabulous designer fashion is well represented in the line-up, with leading labels Caroline Church, Doris DePont, State of Grace, Petrena Miller, and Grey Lynn icon Moa all participating. Top fashion knitwear also features with Sabatini, Caroline Sills (including Richard Moore) and emerging designer EUiNTON.

Hailwood will show his signature printed tees alongside easy city dressing from Moochi and streetwear from Federation and nzgirl; Sakagucci arrives from Christchurch with his edgy signature style.

Leading leather accessory company Cerissi will add the all-important accessories.

The 2006 Designer Garage Sale is the first annual sale that will showcase leading designer names from High St locations around the country. The sale is modelled on successful sales held in association with fashion weeks in London and New York.

Designers will display end-of-winter stock and samples all on sale for a significant discount.

Paul Blomfield says that the concept, once proven, will certainly grow. “As well as offering fashion bargains, the Designer Garage Sale will be a pleasant shopping experience,” says Blomfield. "Each designer will have their own display space and changing rooms, which is a pleasant change from the mayhem of some workroom sales." he said.

"We want it to be like a department store where shoppers can make all their purchases on a single credit card or eftpos transaction - which saves time and money for the shopper."

Tickets for entry will be $10.00 per head, but people who purchase elite tickets to the ANZFW 4U shows will enter free.
