We'd love for you to help us celebrate 100 years of Wellington Zoo, to reflect on where we've been and look forward to where we're going. Our launch party is on Saturday 28 October.

The first 100 kids through the door will get in for free, and the day will be filled with music, old movies, face painting, entertainers and maybe even some cake. We're also having an open day at our new indoor chimp block so you can go behind the scenes and explore Wellington Zoo's newest enclosure.

Brand new historical tours will be happening at 11am and 2pm and at midday, we'll all be singing Happy Birthday to the Zoo on the new chimp viewing platform. Tours of the new chimp block will be happening throughout the day as well as a whole lot of other talks and activities. So come along and help us celebrate the 100th birthday of New Zealand's oldest Zoo. Saturday October 28, 9.30am - 5.00pm.
