The Dove Pink Star Walk

On Saturday 7th October 2006 beneath a starlit Auckland sky, leading beauty brand Dove will be holding the first ever Dove Pink Star Walk in aid of The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (NZBCF).

Proceeds from the walk will help to fund research for prevention and cure, whilst acknowledging the 2,500 women who are diagnosed with and the 600 women who die of Breast Cancer each year in New Zealand.

The Dove Pink Star Walk will be a fun and unique 5km stroll throughout the beautiful (pink!) Auckland Domain, starting at 8pm.

Open to men, women, children and families of all ages and fitness levels, everyone is encouraged to do their little bit to help. Participants are encouraged to get into the theme of the breast cancer cause by decorating and wearing their very own Dove wings – and to make it easier, a pattern of the wings will be included in every event registration pack!

There will be prizes awarded on the night for the best-decorated wings and for those adopting the pink spirit, plus entertainment throughout the evening to cheer you on until everyone is well over the finish line!

While postal and online entries close on Friday 29th September, there will be registration available on the night.
