The annual Founders Book Fair opens Queens Birthday Weekend Saturday 3rd June and runs for 9 days to June 11th inclusive.

Stocks exceed last year's record of over 37 tonnes of books, sorted into 50 categories. We are proud to claim this is one of the very largest sales of good used books in New Zealand.

Despite the vast area we fill with over 100 tables loaded with books, we can't display them all at once. So if you don't make it on the first day, don't despair, throughout the nine days of the sale we will continue to restock with fresh books as space permits.

A large proportion of our books carry no price mark, and sell for our standard $1 for hardbacks and 50c for paperbacks (even less for most children's books). But you will find that even the priced books are more than competitive.

The gold coin admission charge allows you access to all Founders Historic Park attractions. Parking is available in the Founders Park carparks off Atawhai Drive, in Atawhai Drive itself, and in North Road. The proceeds of the Book Fair help to keep Founders Historic Park open and growing for Nelsonians and visitors. Don't miss it!
