Tolaga Bay will rock in the 2007 New Year with an international flavour to its RU UAWA R18 New Years Eve concert.

The New Year party is a follow-up from the successful 2004/05 Ru Uawa event, and will cap off the week long Uawanui Arts Festival, which features ta moko, raranga, paint and digital presentation workshops by prominent Tairawhiti artists.

Ru Uawa organisers are pleased to announce that Ru Uawa 2006/07 will feature prominent Kaupapa Maori artists Ruia, Whirimako Black, Katchafire, Kora, Ardijah, TOHU and TYNA.

Guest international artist Renée Geyer, who is set to thrill long-time fans with her popular array of soul-rock, will join them.
