The Hot Grits, Pluto, Goldenhorse - Pohutukawa Festival

The Hot Grits hit the stage at the Pohutukawa Festival, Tairua, at 2.00pm. Also playing throughout the day are Pluto, Darcy Perry Blues, Tourist and the Aviators. Home-grown Coromandel food and wine, arts and craft stalls and great music set in a gorgeous pohutukawa-lined area.

The Hot Grits cover the stylistic ground between deep funk, soul and afrobeat. The current Hot Grits lineup consists of no fewer than nine talented musicians from such varied backgrounds as jazz, hardcore, metal, reggae, hip hop and big band.

The Hot Grits aim to get people moving with a sound that is funky and always energetic. They are a powerhouse outfit, capable of creating havoc on any dance floor.
