Not So Snow White

Snow White... the fair maiden, the dwarves, the handsome prince. We've all heard this story... what happens after the kiss of life... does the Wicked Stepmother give up? Do the Prince and Snow White live happily ever after... of course not... Snow White shacks up with the Huntsman and produces a daughter Rose Red, who grows up without any knowledge of her mothers history other than a strange 'allergy' to apples!

Hot on the heals of Greg MacLeod's highly acclaimed script The Return of Robin Hood comes Not so Snow White. Greg is probably best known onstage (most recently performing as the Beast in Beauty and the Beast) but makes his debut as director this year. The Adult cast will be supplemented by about 20 local children ranging from 5 to 18 years old and guest stars including Peter Chin.

The season will run from December 20-23 with performances at 11am and 2pm, also 6pm Friday at the Dunedin Town Hall.

Not so Snow White will run for about 1 hour, and is suited to everyone,any age, who enjoys a good laugh. There's plenty of good old pantomime slapstick and 'he's behind you' gags for the kids and naughty political satire for the oldies, no need to find a kid to come to this one!
