The Blackcaps return to Test cricket with a double header against Sri Lanka in early December.

Test matches are the sport’s blue ribbon event and Christchurch and Wellington will host one intriguing five-day match each.

The games will pitch captains Stephen Fleming and Mahela Jayawardene, two of the game’s leading tactical thinkers, at odds.

Spin kings Daniel Vettori and Muttiah Muralidaran will also go head-to-head in a battle of flight and guile.

The double header will provide a glimpse of Test action in a season strongly geared towards the ICC Cricket World Cup, the peak of global ODI cricket.
