“Dalewool Auckland Brass is proud to present five major concerts in 2006, featuring the best of brass music in Auckland’s most stunning venues. The band will be joined by top local and international artists.”

“Dalewool Auckland Brass is one of the city’s best-kept musical secrets …” (William Dart, NZ Herald)

“The band … thrilled the audience and showed the power and impact brass band music at it’s best can have”. (Rod Bliss, Sunday Star Times)

Celebrate Christmas with the special magic of brass and voice!

Join Dalewool Auckland Brass and the Graduate Choir – Auckland’s most acclaimed Choir,- in an evening of modern and traditional Christmas favourites.

In a little over four years, Choir Director Terence Maskell has shaped The Graduate Choir, NZ into one of New Zealand’s top vocal ensembles. In 2003 the choir won the Grand Prix trophy of the “Classic Sing” – the inaugural national community choir competition – where it was acclaimed as outstanding. As a result of this success the choir toured in the UK in 2005, fulfilling an invitation to perform at the prestigious ABCD Convention at Guildford as well as at other venues in London, Oxford, Cambridge and Canterbury. Its début CD – “My Spirit Sang All Day” – released in August 2005, has been popular and is into its second pressing.

Reviewers and adjudicators have been fulsome in their praise:
“Sheer technical and musical excellence … ” “They redefine the word perfection before your very ears” – Professor Heath Less.

“They presented us with one of the finest examples of choral singing to be heard anywhere in the world, and could already represent New Zealand in international competitions…” - Peter Watts.

Don’t forget, you can make this a real family event with all children under the age of 12 admitted absolutely free.
