The NBR NZ Opera presents The National Tour of Don Pasquale

The comic romp of Don Pasquale, takes romance, trickery and comeuppance on the road in our first truly national tour from Kerikeri to Invercargill. Well-loved New Zealand singer Conal Coad plays Don Pasquale and also makes his directing debut. Just two hours long and sung in English, this delightful, accessible opera will have you out the door and singing your way home by 9.30pm!

This comic romp brings a blast of wit and warmth to the winter. Romance, trickery and comeuppance set to lovely music that everyone will enjoy. Grumpy Don Pasquale wants to spoil his nephew Ernesto's romance with the young widow Norina, and cut him off from his inheritance. He also fancies getting married himself. What the old man doesn't know is that the joke is on him! His marriage to a naive young lady turns into an eye-popping nightmare.
