In August 2006, the New Zealand Community Trust UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships will return to the Southern Hemisphere for the first time in 10 years.

Our world-class championship courses have been purpose built on the slopes of an ancient Rotorua landmark - Mount Ngongotaha - just north of the city centre.

World Class riders from all over the world will come to compete in the Cross Country, Downhill, Trials and Four Cross competitions including world champions such as Fabien Barel (FRA) and our own Vanessa Quin (NZL) in the downhill, and in cross country Julien Absalon (FRA) and Gunn-Rita Dahle (NOR).
