After Months of Speculation- It's Confirmed!
The most exciting and powerful rock 'n' roll show in the world is coming to Auckland and Wellington this April. The Rolling Stones - A Bigger Bang Tour - will play two shows only in New Zealand at Western Springs in Auckland on Sunday 16 April and Westpac Stadium in Wellington on Tuesday 18 April.
The stage used for these New Zealand shows will be the same spectacular outdoor stadium stage created for the current concert tour in South America . Both shows will feature dozens of their all-time classic songs, the Stones' ever-changing set list also boasts show-stopping tributes to such legends as Ray Charles & Bob Marley.
The Rolling Stones- "A Bigger Bang" world tour played to a total of 1.2 million at 42 dates in North America in 2005. Last weekend saw the band perform to 2 million people at their free concert in Rio De Janeiro , which marked the half way point in their world tour. The Rolling Stones set the bar for the live modern rock spectacular and have continued to raise it tour after amazing tour. They hold the record for the top 2 most attended North American tours of all time - 'Licks' and 'Bridges To Babylon'.
Demand for New Zealand's hottest ticket of 2006 is certain to be as feverish as that in North America where capacity has run at 100% throughout the entire run of stadium and arena shows. "Superstars remain superstars," wrote Billboard magazine's Ray Waddell. "The Rolling Stones remain monster attractions."
Supported by Nickelback.
