Auckland City is proud to be sponsoring the Grey Lynn Park Festival, a community based, free one day event organised by the Grey Lynn Park Festival Trust Board. 2005 will be the 20th year that the festival has been held.

The main focus of the day is family fun and community spirit and a large part of the park is set aside for families to picnic while being right amongst the festival. Entertainment is provided throughout the day including performances from diverse cultural groups, school groups and children.

Breakdancing at the Grey Lynn Park FestivalThere will be face painting, roaming crowd performers, storytellers, running races, and free rides for the kids, as well as hundreds of general stalls selling handmade crafts, second hand goods, and a variety of food stalls.
