A Kiwi classic – Friday night fish and chips for dinner with a side of te reo Māori!
FUSH, everyone’s favourite casual eatery in Wigram, serves up tasty Kiwi kai (food) and te reo Māori (Māori language) lessons and the team will be doing just that in the stunning Great Hall.
Food will be available from the FUSH waka (food truck) from 5.00pm, while the te reo Māori lesson is being held from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Costs include a meal and te reo lesson.
The night’s menu from the FUSH waka (availability dependent on demand on the night):
1. Classic fish and chips (ika me ngā tipi) with housemade tartare sauce
2. Fried chicken pieces and chunky fries (heihei parai me ngā tipi) with secret sauce – gluten free on request
3. Pulled pork burger and chips (peka poaka me ngā tipi)
4. Panko crumbed onion rings with chunky fries (ringi aniana me ngā tip) – vegetarian
The adults’ meals are a good size, but if your puku is extra rumbly, extras are available to purchase. Children’s meals are smaller portions.
Non-alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase.
Please come with cushions or similar to picnic on the floor. No chairs will be allowed. Limited seating will be provided for those who are not able to sit on the floor.
This event is wheelchair accessible.
